Policies

Eligibility

· Courses are available to individuals

years of age and older.

· Good command of the

English

language is necessary.

Registration

· Space is limited to a maximum of

students per class, so we recommend

registration.

· Registration must be accompanied by payment in full to be considered

complete and guarantee your place in class. Incomplete registrations will be

held

for

a maximum of 24 hours.

· You can register by phone using Visa or Master

ard, or in person at The

Top

Stitch using your charge card, cash, or a money order. Personal checks

will be

accepted

with proper ID

· Class fees are non-refundable.

· If you are unable to attend your scheduled class you can transfer your

class

days before the course begins. All

fees

will be

forfeited

if not

rescheduled with

7 days prior notice.

General

· You are responsible for ensuring that you have the required equipment

and

supplies prior to class start time.

Let me know if I can help.

· You can use a sewing machine if you wish

(bobbins 50 cents)

and you will

also be able to

purchase many of the supplies you will need.

(A $2 supply fee

will be charged if you need to borrow supplies.)

Tool and fabric

available.

· Out of consideration for others we kindly request that all cell phones be

set

silent mode or turned off completely. If you must take a call (all the moms

out

there!)

please step out of the classroom.

· It is advised that you arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled

class,

be set up and ready before the teacher begins. If you are late, please

try not to

disturb others as you arrive.

· Normally, all your work will be done in class. It occasionally happens that

you

will have 'homework' and this work needs to be completed before the next

class, as

we cannot hold back the class to wait for you to catch up.

· If you miss a class, there are a few ways you can make it up. You can

meet

with another student from your class to go over the information, copy

someone's

notes, attend a drop-in session

at the Stitch

Café

, or you might be

able to

take a make-up

class with another group if the same session is

available.

· If it happens that a class is cancelled due to instructor illness or inclement

weather, a make-up class will be scheduled or the course will be extended by

one

week.

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to provide daycare. Please make

arrangement to leave your little ones at home during scheduled class times.

Privacy Notice

Any and all the information collected from The Top Stitch will be kept strictly

confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, disclosed, or loaned.

Any information you provide will be held with the utmost care and will not be

used
