NEW Art of Tailoring Learn to make a tailored blouse or tunic/March 11, 18, 25 25 & April 1/$80 NEW Tote Bag Class – Saturday, March 13, 1:30-3:30 pm/$29 Serger Techniques – Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 1:30-3:30pm $40 Learn to sew! This is the perfect class for new to sewing or re-entering the sewing craft. Each lesson is $20 per person. Bring your machine or use one of ours. March 6: 3:00-4:00 learn the basics of machine sewing. Kids Class meets the following Tuesday dates from 3:30-4:30 and costs $39 per month: March Sewing Bag March 2, 9, 16, 23 NEW Tote Bag Class – Saturday, March 13, 1:30-3:30 pm/$29 Sew the Patchwork Promenade tote bag with Denyse Schmidt’s new fabrics line, Hope Valley. Patchwork Promenade is a homage to the American tradition of printed fabrics that mimic the look of patchwork. Lighten up on plastic bags and brighten up your next trip to the market! $40 includes class fee, pattern and fabric kit! All you will need is thread and your basic sewing supplies NEW Art of Tailoring meets the following Thursdays from 6-8pm $80/4 week series March 11,Part 1 – Selecting your style, measuring and buying your pattern & fabric March 18, Part 2 – Fitting, cutting, altering your pattern, cutting your fabric March 25 Part 3 – Markings & tailor tacks! Putting your top together, factory and custom method April 1, Part 4 – Fitting problems and finishing touches NEW Remake/Remodel Learn to change a mans shirt into a womans. Meets the following Tuesdays from 6-8pm $40/2 part class March 23 & 30 from 6:00-8:00pm NEW Serger Techniques In this class we will learn to use your serger. We will cover the how and why uses of a serger, learn to identify correct threading for a variety of stitches, accurate stitch tensions, 3 & 4 thread stitch options and how/when these options are used. We’ll also cover some have to tools for serging! Saturday, 1:30-3:30 $40 Meets March 20 Star Pillow Class – Saturday, March 27, 2010; 10:30am-12:00pm Learn to make items for your home! For this very uniquely shaped pillow, specific parts of fabric designs show on each panel. Each set of coordinating panels match. Learn to fussy cut the triangles from fabric. Enjoy this dynamic, perfectly symmetrical pillow in your living room, bedroom or window bench! Cost: $25 plus materials. Level: All levels welcome, must have working knowledge of sewing machine. Stitch Cafe meets the following date from 6-10pm and is $10; Friday, March 26 Bring your sewing, a hot dish and let’s have some fun! Sign up is required. Don’t have a machine???? Use one of ours!
